FilezyAI is a free online file converter. We've built it to do its job and then forget about your files — everything you upload is deleted automatically two hours after it's processed. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who it's shared with.
The files you convert
When you convert a file, it's uploaded to our storage (Cloudflare R2), processed on our servers, and the result is stored so you can download it. Both the original and the result are deleted automatically two hours after processing. We don't keep backups of your files, we don't look at their contents, and we don't use them for anything other than performing the conversion you asked for.
Some operations — background removal and image rotation — run entirely in your browser. Those files are never uploaded to us at all.
What else we collect
- Device identifier. For people who aren't signed in, we set a signed, http-only cookie with a random ID so we can enforce the free daily limit. It isn't linked to your identity.
- Account details. If you create an account, your email and sign-in are handled by our authentication provider, Clerk. We store which plan you're on.
- Payment details. Subscriptions are processed by Dodo Payments. Your card details go to them, not us — we never see or store your card number.
- Technical data. Your IP address (used briefly for rate-limiting and abuse prevention), and basic server logs needed to run and secure the service.
- AI mode. If you use AI mode, the instruction you type plus basic file metadata (format, dimensions, size) are sent to OpenAI to interpret your request. The file itself is not sent to OpenAI.
How we use it
- To perform the conversions you request.
- To enforce daily limits and prevent abuse.
- To manage your account and subscription.
- To keep the service secure and working.
We do not sell your personal data.
Advertising
FilezyAI's free tier is supported by ads. We work with third-party advertising partners who use cookies and similar technologies to show and measure ads; those partners may collect technical data such as your device type and IP address. We don't share your files or the contents of what you convert with advertisers. Pro plans are ad-free.
Service providers
We rely on a small set of processors to run FilezyAI:
- Cloudflare R2 — temporary file storage.
- Supabase — database for task and account records.
- Clerk — account sign-in and management.
- Dodo Payments — subscription billing.
- OpenAI — interpreting AI-mode instructions (text + metadata only).
How long we keep things
- Files: deleted automatically two hours after processing.
- Task records (format, status, timestamps): kept to operate the service and may be removed periodically.
- Account data: kept while your account exists; removed when you delete it.
Your rights
You can delete a converted file immediately from its download page, and you can delete your account at any time, which removes the data associated with it. To request access to or deletion of your personal data, contact us at support@filezyai.com.
Security
Files are transferred over encrypted connections and auto-deleted on a short timer. Access to our systems is restricted. No online service can promise perfect security, but minimizing what we store — and deleting it quickly — is the core of how we protect you.
Children
FilezyAI isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy; we'll change the date above when we do. Significant changes will be highlighted.
